CONNECTOR SYSTEMS GESIS® AND RST®
Our gesis® and RST® installation connector systems, proven for years in building construction, have been developed in compliance with standards and continuously optimized. Specialized tests have now confirmed the suitability of the gesis® CLASSIC and RST® CLASSIC connector systems for industrial modular building production.
Wieland PREFAB® meets the requirements for factory integration into serially manufactured building elements and modules. The systems can be installed in inaccessible areas such as stud walls, cavities in ceilings and floors, and even concrete.

SOLUTIONS FOR FACTORY INTEGRATION
IN WET CONSTRUCTION
With the industrially prefabricated components of the Wieland PREFAB® system, it is possible to shift the complex electrical installation work from the construction site to the prefabricating factory, thereby significantly increasing the degree of integration. The electrical installation is integrated into the prefabricated components in advance so that they can be delivered to the construction site ready for connection. This speeds up workflows and considerably reduces costs.
WIELAND PREFAB® SYSTEM CABLING IN CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION
Until now, it was not possible to install the electrical installation in precast concrete elements at the factory. Either empty conduits or cable shafts were used here. For electrical branches, additional junction boxes also had to be installed, conventionally wired, and subsequently resealed.
Things are easier and more efficient with Wieland PREFAB®: The moisture-protected RST® round connector system with IP69 protection can be cast with concrete directly in the factory production process as a pluggable, pre-assembled installation with supply cable and connection and distribution pieces. This means that the individual concrete elements only have to be connected to each other later with plug & play.
Wieland Electric has proven the suitability for this application with special service life tests and suitability tests and has had them confirmed by a neutral body.

FACTORY INTEGRATION IN DRY CONSTRUCTION
With the industrially prefabricated components of the Wieland PREFAB® system, it is possible to shift the complex electrical installation work from the construction site to the prefabricating factory, thereby significantly increasing the degree of integration. The electrical installation is integrated into the prefabricated components in advance so that they can be delivered to the construction site ready for connection. This speeds up workflows and considerably reduces costs.
PREFAB SYSTEM CABLING IN MODULAR WOOD AND STEEL CONSTRUCTIONS
Until now, integrating electrical installations during the production of modular building elements and room modules was labor-intensive and required skilled professionals. Conventional methods relied on conduits or cable ducts, with the subsequent, time-consuming electrical installation often becoming a bottleneck for rapid construction progress on-site.
With Wieland PREFAB®, the pluggable electrical installation, a perfect solution is now available for factory integration of electrical systems into the manufacturing process of modules and building elements made of wood and steel. This applies to all types of serial construction, including room module construction, skeletal construction, modular cell construction, container construction, and prefabricated houses.
For the GST18® connector system from the gesis® product family, which can be used in all dry construction methods, Wieland has now received certification for maintenance-free plug connections following extensive tests and inspections. This certificate of suitability, which has also been confirmed by a neutral body, now enables the use of pluggable pre-installation in construction elements and room modules – safely and quickly. Only a few electrical installation tasks then need to be carried out on the construction site – simply with plug & play.

SOLUTIONS FOR ON-SITE INSTALLATION
The shortest possible construction time! This is one of the most important arguments in favor of modular construction. Even if the industrially manufactured construction elements and modules do not yet include an electrical installation, the pluggable Wieland PREFAB® system can be used to significantly reduce the labor time for the electrical trade on the construction site. Note: This requires timely coordination with Wieland regarding the necessary installation routes and cable routing ducts.
WIELAND PREFAB® SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR FAST AND EFFICIENT INSTALLATION
ON THE CONSTRUCTION SITE
The reliable GST18®, GST15, and RST® connector systems have been proven to save up to 70% of the installation time. The Wieland PREFAB® system components are delivered to the construction site in the style of a modular system and are laid and plugged together there in the installation ducts and areas provided for this purpose – simply plug & play.
The amount of effort involved can be reduced even further with highly integrated installation units such as the new aluminum wall profiles, which are already equipped at the factory with all the necessary electrical components such as sockets and control points.
These can be flush-mounted, for example, as complete units in niches provided for this purpose in precast concrete elements. The ready-to-plug Wieland PREFAB® installation units minimize the installation effort and become design elements for the room design.
We deliver the pre-assembled installation units to the construction site ready for installation. The entire installation comprises connectors, cable assemblies, distribution elements, and device connectors. Circuits or applications can also be easily distinguished visually with our mechanically coded and color-coded connectors. This makes mismating impossible and installation safe and easy.
