Circuit breaker modules – podis® CON

The Circuitbreaker Module consists of two main assemblies:

1. connecting module – for connection to the flat cable
2. flange-mount housing – consisting of individually selectable bottom part and upper part

Option C1: For 5x16 mm² flat cable (690 V / 63 A) – ideal for higher energy demand

Option C2: For 5x6 mm² flat cable (690 V / 41 A) – for medium power ranges

• Double cable screw gland M25 – ideal for applications with two separate cable connections.
• Closed front side – for applications that do not require additional feed-throughs.
• Cable screw gland M32 – suitable for larger cable cross-sections or higher power requirements.
• Knockout M20 – prepared for individual cable screw glands or connectors.
• Flat cable connection 7 x 4 – enables direct connection to the flat cable network.
• Knockout for flat cable 7 x 4 – flexible alternative to fixed flat cable connection.
• Double GST18i5 connector – for simple and standardized cabling with pre-assembled plug-in systems.
• Cable screw gland M25 + knockout M25 – combination of a fixed screw gland and an additional knockout for extensions.
• RST20/25 connector – enables connection via RST plug systems for a fast and secure connection.
• Double RST20/25 connections – for applications that require two RST connectors.

This variety of bottom parts ensures maximum adaptability, so the Circuitbreaker Module can be equipped with the appropriate connection option as needed.

• Closed cover – for applications where no additional cutouts or connections are required.
• 3 x optional knockout M12 – enables the subsequent integration of M12 feed-throughs for additional connections.
• Cutout for hinged lid – specifically for applications that require a hinged protective cover for controls or connections.
• 1 x open cutout M12 – immediately usable M12 opening for quick and easy connection options.
• 2 x optional cutout M12 – flexible solution for future expansions with up to two additional M12 feed-throughs.
• Cutout for maintenance switch – specifically for integrating a maintenance switch to enable decentralized shutdown.

Thanks to these modular top parts, the podis® CON Circuitbreaker Module can be individually adapted to the respective requirements—from a fully closed solution to a maintenance-friendly and expandable system.

Yes. You can freely combine the connection modules (C1 or C2) with one of eight bottom parts and one of four top parts. In addition, DIN-rail devices (up to 4 modular spacing), pluggable outputs, cable glands, and the prewiring can be integrated as desired.

The modules are pre-assembled, tested, and already contain the required protective devices. Thanks to robust housings, seals, and a well-thought-out design, installation is safe, fast, and possible with minimal tools.
