Configuration software with user-friendly programming.

The configuration software samos® PLAN 6 provides optimal support in programming the safety controller samos® PRO COMPACT. The free programming tool from Wieland Electric is structured intuitively and graphically and thus enables the easy and flexible programming without special knowledge of PLC programming languages.  

With samos® PLAN 6, both an automatic and manual hardware configuration is possible. Thereby, users can resort to an ample library with more than 40 certified and field-tested function blocks. Even the safe limited speed and standstill monitoring due to EN 61800-5-2 can be operated as a function block. In addition, users may increase the tool's functionality by specifying and administrating sensors and function blocks in the corresponding libraries. Even complex safety tasks can be programmed with ease, because all inputs and outputs and up to 300 function blocks can be used without any restriction in any individual project.

The programmable safety functions can be tested on the PC in advance. This feature is attributable to the simulation function of the integrated logic analyser, which also ensures improved functional safety later on during actual operation. samos® PLAN 6 has numerous interfaces and is compatible with all Windows operating systems, including Windows 10.
