Award for Wieland Electric

World market leader - not every company claiming to be one has really earned the merits for this title. Recently, Prof. Christoph Müller has established a specific world market leader ranking for the renowned University of St. Gallen in cooperation with the weekly business news magazine Wirtschaftswoche and the Academy of German World Market Leaders. One of these leading companies is WIELAND ELECTRIC from Bamberg.

461 German world market leaders have been identified for 2018 and were published in Wirtschaftswoche in January. Companies have to fulfill four conditions to be accepted to the list of international champions: They have the highest or second highest market share in their segment. They have an annual turnover of more than € 50 million. At least half of it is generated abroad. And they are active on at least three continents.

WIELAND ELECTRIC from Bamberg fulfills all four criteria. The company with slightly more than 2000 employees and around € 270 million turnaround worldwide is seen as a pioneer of safe electrical connection technology and is leading the field of pluggable electrical installations for functional buildings.
