Learning from experts: Knowledge for a secure future

Continuing education is important for ensuring safety in a rapidly changing industry. It is equally relevant for protecting people and for the sustainable success and efficiency of companies. That is why knowledge transfer will also be a focus at SPS 2025 in Nuremberg. Wieland invites visitors to the Expert Lounge in Hall 9, Stand 440. Here, interested parties can meet specialists in functional machine safety and benefit from presentations, personal advice and direct exchange. The focus is on current topics such as CE marking, the new Machinery Directive and cybersecurity for mechanical and plant engineering. However, knowledge transfer does not end with the trade fair. With its free year-round webinar series, Wieland also offers a platform for in-depth information outside of SPS. Interested parties can use these formats independently of the trade fair and receive concrete support for their daily practice. Two topics are particularly in focus:

Worry-free CE marking

The CE marking process is the basis for a legally compliant and safe machine. With Wieland Electric at your side, this process is efficient and reliable. The experts have in-depth experience in functional machine safety and provide support at every step, from risk assessment and safety concept to final documentation. As part of the webinar series, participants will gain a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the CE conformity process and will be guided through all relevant phases in a practical manner. The speakers will draw on current materials such as the updated practical handbook. In addition, the webinar is also available as individual training, for example in the form of further training to become a TÜV-certified safety expert. The dates and further information are available at https://www.wieland-electric.com/de/support/dienstleistungen/ce-kennzeichnung/.

Cybersecurity as part of machine safety

With the new EU Machinery Regulation, which will apply from January 2027, and the Cyber Resilience Act, cybersecurity will become a mandatory part of machine safety. In future, manufacturers will have to prove that their machines are not only mechanically and electrically safe, but also digitally secure. This includes, for example, protection against malware and securing remote access. For developers and integrators, but also for entrepreneurs, this means that safety aspects must be taken into account early on in the design and development process. Wieland Electric's new webinar series shows how this can be achieved in practice. Using specific use cases, technical and organisational measures are presented that can be effectively implemented in the machine environment. Participants receive practical recommendations for action that can be applied immediately in projects. In addition, the expert forum ‘Functional Safety and Cybersecurity’ on 2 December 2025 invites participants to engage in an in-depth online exchange and offers the opportunity to discuss current developments and security strategies with experts. The dates and further information are available at https://www.wieland-electric.com/de/support/training/webinarreihe-industrielle-cybersecurity/.

The experts at Wieland look forward to welcoming visitors in person at SPS 2025 in Hall 9, Stand 440, and providing valuable insights through direct dialogue.
