POWER SUPPLY
- Conventional wiring, where each extension requires new distribution and junction boxes – adding to the electrical chaos – is a thing of the past. INFRASTRUCTURE CABLING
Power distribution across the floor is implemented via a smart flat cable system with a large conductor cross-section. This ensures comprehensive availability of power throughout the space.
FLOOR BOX CABLING
Smaller systems use 3-pole GST18® cabling. For larger installations, the gesis® NRG flat cable provides a structured supply to floor boxes with reduced energy consumption. Color-coded cables simplify network separation, while pluggable tap-offs enable flexible load distribution. Floor boxes are available as plug-and-play units and can be optionally equipped with protective components.
TRUNKING SYSTEM CABLING
Trunking systems offer flexible installation options. The gesis® NRG flat cables enable simple, energy-efficient three-phase power supply right up to the socket outlet. Color-coded cables simplify network separation, and pluggable tap-offs allow flexible load distribution. BRK socket outlets for trunking systems and round cable components enable a fully pluggable installation.
LIGHTING
- In lighting installations, we focus on wiring the luminaires. Using distribution blocks and corresponding infrastructure cabling, the connection to local control or motion sensors (e.g., KNX or DALI) is established.
- Decentralized installation reduces both installation effort and the required amount of raw materials. Implementation includes the use of system distributors, which we customize to meet specific project requirements.
LIGHTING CABLING IN COMMERCIAL OFFICE BUILDINGS
LIGHTING CABLING – SWITCHED
Our pluggable GST18® solution for lighting is typically installed in suspended ceilings or hollow walls. Distribution blocks and room automation enable flexible control. Switches and luminaire connections can also be integrated pluggably and variably.
LIGHTING CABLING – CONTROLLED, DALI OR 1–10 V
Depending on the time of day and room usage, flexible control of individual luminaires or lighting groups may be required. We ensure simple and safe power and signal supply: with our gesis® CLASSIC cables, distribution blocks, and connection components, DALI luminaires, for example, can be supplied with ease.
DECENTRALIZED ROOM AUTOMATION
- Using pre-assembled, pluggable system distributors (consolidation points), we place KNX and BMS (Building Management System) functions – such as lighting, blind control, heating/cooling valves, or fresh air regulation – consistently in decentralized locations. Distribution is carried out on a room-by-room basis for fast, clean, and resource-efficient installation.

All variants are designed for maximum prefabrication and pluggability, allowing you to save time on-site and avoid installation errors.
SUNSHADE SYSTEMS AND SUN PROTECTION
- With our decentralized, pluggable solution, you significantly reduce cabling effort – especially for blind drives. Instead of complex 4-wire cabling, we rely on the SMI bus system (Standard Motor Interface), which allows up to 16 drives to be connected per line – via our 5-pole systems.
- Depending on the installation scenario, flat cables such as gesis® NRG, round cables such as gesis® CLASSIC, or the outdoor-rated RST® MINI are used.
SHADING AND SUN PROTECTION IN COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS
WINDOW BLINDS (KNX, SMI)
Our pre-assembled systems enable decentralized blind control via gesis® system distributors – for 230 V or 24 V DC, with optional circuit protection. The 7-pole gesis® NRG simultaneously provides three-phase power and KNX communication. For SMI drives, we integrate the required control electronics – resulting in a fully pluggable system from the control cabinet to the drive.
