Through global service assignments in control engineering, he has overseen numerous projects throughout the entire machine lifecycle, from planning to commissioning.

Thirty-three (33) years in the automation industry with more than 20 years focussed on safety. Job responsibilites ranged from maintenance, engineering, design & build and management. Core competentcies include mechincal, electrical, fluid power and safety engineering. This includes all aspects of safety system development that includes risk assessment, functional specification development, mitigation selection, safety system design, implementation and validation.

Leonardo Sanchez is an Electrical Engineer and certified Machine Functional Safety Expert (TUV Rheinland & SGS TUV Saar). He holds extensive expertise in machine safety, with a focus on the entire safety lifecycle, from risk assessments to validation. Leonardo is experienced in assisting companies with CE marking self-certification for machinery sold in Europe and possesses in-depth knowledge of global safety standards. He has a successful track record in managing machinery safety projects and is qualified to certify Machine Safety Engineers.
KEVAN COWLEY
Kevan Cowley, with over 15 years of experience, is a seasoned safety specialist and CESE Engineer for TUV SAAR. With expertise in designing and maintaining safety systems for various machines, Kevan has a comprehensive background in working with safety circuits, E-stops, gate entry systems, and light guards. As a qualified trainer, he has conducted numerous CESE TUV SAAR training courses, both in-person and online, contributing significantly to the safety market's understanding and development. Kevan is also an active member of the Gambica Committee for safety and sensors.
