The podis®/gesis® motor & soft starters for decentralized application close to the motor are based on the podis® power bus solution and can be used in harsh industrial environments.
In a particularly compact housing and high protection rating, the podis® MCU and gesis® MCU motor starters combine the function of the electronic direct and reversing starter with AS-i control. In spatially distributed drive applications, they start and protect three-phase asynchronous motors up to 1.5 kilowatts.
The electronic podis® MSS and gesis® MSS soft starters supplement the portfolio of motor starters with the functions of soft starting and stopping for three-phase asynchronous motors up to 1.5 kilowatts. The acceleration time, deceleration time, and breakaway torque are smoothly adjustable.
Space-saving and quick installation:
With their compact design in protection rating IP65, the podis® motor & soft starters can be plugged directly into the podis® flat cable output and fixed in place via two fast-closing manual locking brackets. Alternatively, the gesis® motor starters can be mounted on a mounting plate. In this case, the AS-i field bus is fed in parallel and separately to the power bus and on to the components. This space-saving structure speeds up installation by up to 70%.
Smart motor control:
The podis®/gesis® motor starters can be operated as direct/reversing or soft starters for three-phase asynchronous motors up to 1.5 kW, switching after the startup phase from semiconductors to internal mechanical bypass relays. The motor starters therefore save energy and are particularly resistant to wear.
Simple operation, optimum diagnostics:
The motor starters are controlled and parameterized with AS-Interface by means of a parameter download. When a motor starter is replaced, the stored settings are transmitted automatically from the controller to the motor starter. LED displays for status and error messages enable quick on-site diagnostics in the event of an error.
